Psalm 62, verse 5 says, My soul waits silently for God alone. Listen to this, it says, For my expectation is from him. Now, the thing I want you to grab from that Bible verse is God wants you living a life of expectancy. He wants that's why he says, My soul. Well, what's your soul, your mind, your will, and your emotions? He wants every bit of you living a life full of expectancy. He wants you expecting his goodness, he wants you expecting his grace, he wants you expecting his love, and he wants you expecting that your faith will always get results. Right? God wants you living a life of expectancy. Why? Because he's the author and the object of it. He's the author of what you're expecting, he's the object of what you should be. You should be expecting God in every area of your life. You walk into the doctor's appointment, you should be expecting God to meet you there. You're walking into your home, you should be expecting God to meet you there. You're walking into your job, you should expect God to meet you there. You're walking in for a big news or job promotion or pay increase. God wants you living a life, expectancy that his goodness, his favor, his mercy, and his grace will be there in abundance for you. Amen. Say amen to that. Come on, he is the author and object of your expectancy. Now, if you look at your notes, the word expect means to look for. That's what the beautiful word of expect means. Now, expectancy, I love this one, says looking for with pleasure. Looking for with pleasure. I'll break it down even simple for you. God wants you to live a life of expectancy with pleasure. Amen. That means those of you who aren't used to smiling, learn to smile. Amen. Come on. That's what God wants you to live in. He wants you to expect the very best in your marriage. You smile at one another like you love one another, or at least like you like one another, right? He wants you going into your job like it's your dream job. He wants you expecting him in every arena of your life. He wants you looking for him with pleasure. Come on, somebody. Right? Life doesn't end because you get older. Pleasure doesn't have a void. You can live a life full of pleasure to your last breathing days. Here's the thing: the problem is we stop expecting God to be God in our life. We start expecting the bad times, the hard times, the suffering, the surviving more than we do expecting God to be God in our lives. So I want to challenge you tonight. Live a life of expectancy that God will always show up. He will always be on time, and he'll always bring abundance with you. Notice what I said. He doesn't promise that you won't have hard times. He doesn't promise that you won't have struggles. He doesn't promise that you don't have pain. All he wants you to do is live a life expected with pressure that God will do godly things in your life. Come on, right? There's nothing more powerful than our God. Nothing on this earth, nothing you can see, feel, hear, or touch will ever be more powerful than your God. And this is the God He wants you to live a life of expectancy, saying, My God is not only my God, my God not only will, but my God is able. Come on. The thing I want you to grab from tonight, and this is the note, this is what I really want you to hold on to is this expectation is the attitude of faith. And a lot of us have attitude already, anyways. Some of us walk around with attitude, some of us think, I mean, just got attitude at the drop of a hat. Right? Expectation is the attitude of faith. So when you're living a life of faith, what attitude should you have? An expectation of attitude. You got an attitude of expectancy that I have an attitude that my know my God will, I know my God can, I know He already has, and I know it's mine for the taking. And here's the attitude that I love to preach. If the word says it, then that settles it. Come on. Father God, thank you so much for tonight. Thank you for this group of people here today, live. Lord, I pray that all those that are listening online and those at the sound of my voice, Lord, they develop a life of expectancy, and that their expectation becomes their attitude for their faith, Father God, Lord. So Lord, take them from a bad attitude to an attitude of expectation, Father God, Lord. Lord, an attitude of looking with pleasure, knowing that you always show up and always show off in their lives. Father God, Lord, more of you and less of me. In Jesus' name, amen. So what does he want you live? What does he want you living a life of expectation of expectant of?
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_00It's one of those things. Well, what does he want me to expect? Why does he want me to do that? This is it. Something that God can do, not what man can do. He doesn't want you living life expectancy of what your husband can do, what your doctor can do, what your boss can do, what your what your finances do. He wants you living a life expectancy of what he can do. Come on. And if he can do it, you can do all things through Christ that what strengthens you. And if Christ is strengthening you, listen to this. If Christ is strengthening you, guess what? You're gonna have an attitude of expectancy. Come on, that Holy Spirit's going already. Amen. That's what he wants you to do. He wants you saying, This is something my God can do. Not on what man can do. I'm gonna let you down. Your husband's going, your boss, your co-worker, your friends, they're going to let you down. God never will. And see, that's the light, that's the attitude of expectation. See, yeah, you can. I know he won't. This is why it's important you understand that expectation is the attitude of your faith. You have a bad attitude, means you don't have no faith. Especially when it comes to you look at your paycheck, you go, Well, that's just horrible. Or you look at you look at your job or you look at your health, man. I'm gonna die. Well, that's that's that's a that's no expectation, which leads to no faith. You're basically telling us through your attitude and through your actions, your word, even your face, that you've lost faith in what your God can do. Come on. He wants you living a life of expectation on the things he can do. And if he put it in his word, that means he can do it. And if you're living a life in his will, then guess what? All things are possible for you. You can speak to that mountain and it has no choice but to get up and move. You can speak to those roots, and that tree has no choice but to die. You can lay hands on the sick and it doesn't have a choice but to recover. You can cast out demons, and the demons have no choice but to flee. You can tramp on every serpent that the enemy may try to come your way, and it has no choice but to bow to your feet. This is a life of expectancy. This is the attitude he wants you to have that I'm expecting my faith to work. Because my faith is not on what man can do, my faith is what God can do, has done, and made available for me. Come on, man. When you're living this faith, I mean, I again, this this this this new log that was put on my faith fire when Kenneth Copeland said that. He did, he healed me over 2,000 years ago. He's waking up every morning expecting that yesterday was the last day he's got to be with pain in his back. And if it wasn't today, he's expecting tomorrow's gonna be the day. And if it's not tomorrow, he's expecting the next day, and if it's not the next day, he's expecting the next day. Why? Because he's living a life of expectancy of what God can do and not what man can do. This is the token of this thing. Come on, you only reason quitting happens is because we've lost expectancy on what God can do. Come on. Come on. So living a life of expectation of what God can do. Let me give you a perfect example of this. John chapter 6, verse 5 through 7. And read along with me in the notes. Miss Haiti, if you're watching, don't stop expecting God to heal you. Don't, don't, don't expect that God can get you recovered from that many stroke you had. God can and He will. He just wants you living a life, waking up every day that today's your healing day and that he's healed you over 2,000 years ago. Amen. This body of believers will be praying with you and for you for your speedy recovery and healing. Amen. Come on, go to John chapter 6, verse 5 and 7. He said, Then Jesus lifted his eyes, seeing a great multitude coming toward him. He said to Philip, Where shall we buy bread that these may eat? I love this because Jesus said it just to test Philip what Philip would say. Right? For he knew himself, Jesus knew what he was going to do. It wasn't a surprise to him. It wasn't like, oh my gosh, I just fed 5,000 people with just two fish and five loaves. Jesus had a full expectation expectancy that man, God, the power of heaven, can always and will always move in and through him. Listen, he said, listen, Philip. Philip answered him, said, 200 denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little. Notice, listen to what I've just read. Notice Philip's expectation level, which revealed his faith at that moment. What did he say? Well, he basically told Jesus this, right? This is this is PJ's version of that vote. He said, Bro, bro, we even if we had 200 bucks worth of bread, it wouldn't be enough to give a peace to everybody. What is that saying? Hey man, I know you're Jesus. I know you you're the savior. I know you're the one that came to save us all. But man, we but you can't even deal with this. Your ex your attitude of expectancy is going to reveal where your faith is. Imagine that. Say in front of Jesus, seeing his miracles, right? Seeing them turn water into wine, hearing about it. And then he's saying, Man, not even 200 bucks to give everybody a piece of bread. What does he do? He just basically said, Hey, I know you're God, but not really. Right? Come on. See, faith believes what cannot be seen with the natural eye. Here's the faith believes what your natural eye can't see, and your expects your expectancy backs it up. Notice that. Your expectancy reinforces that. It's expecting what God can do and not man. Philip was like, Man, can't I if I had $200, it wouldn't be enough to feed this people. Come on, we've all been where Philip's at. We got a need in my life, but all I got is $200. Ah, this ain't gonna do nothing. What happens? Our expectancy and our faith goes go away of the birds, and we're like, well, poor, poor pitiful me. Come on. See, Andrew's a little bit better. I like Andrew, he's a little bit better. I I can more identify with Andrew than I can uh I can what's his name? Philip. I can live with Andrew than I can, Philip. Because Andrew is like in verse 8 and 9. Listen to what Andrew says. He says, one of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to him, he said to Jesus, hey, there's this little boy that that has five body of loaves and two small fish. But what are those among so many? I dig Andrew because at least he didn't say he didn't have a quitting attitude at the beginning, but he still didn't have a full expectancy. He was like, this is what we've got. And we've all been more, we've all been more edgy than we have. Philip. Right? See, this is the thing you need to understand. There's no such thing as real Bible faith without expectancy. There's no such thing as real Bible faith without expectancy. Boss, all I got is 200 bucks and my rent's due, my car payments due. This ain't gonna do nothing, but your word says, may you never forget the seed that's sowed. Let me sow just $200 in somebody else's car payment. Because I'm gonna be in full expectancy that you're gonna return this a hundredfold. Church, it's what this life of faith is about, right? It's expecting God will do God things in your life. God expecting God to take two fish and five loaves and feed over 10,000 people. Bible says 5,000. But if everybody's there and married has a kid, it's well over 10,000 people. Two fish, five loaves, and he fed 10,000 people. And if you go know your word or you go read the word, there was leftovers. Because why? Our God's nature is a nature of abundance. He'll never just give you enough to meet the bill, he'll give you enough to meet the bill, go out for a nice dinner, and then have leftovers. But you've got to have expectancy for him to do that. When resistance comes, you just can't quit. You can't say, Oh, here we go again. Same old song, same old ride, different day. And you're like, Well, I guess I'm just gonna have to figure my this way out on my own. Let me tell you, church, that is not expectancy, and you cannot have real Bible faith without expectancy. Expect God to do. Let me let me can I get real with you for a second. Have a backbone. Come on, come on, come on, come on, Jesus. Don't be so quick to quit and run. Stand and fight. Speak and release faith because you know why, man. When you release faith, it gets all of heaven's attention. And then it may feel like you're alone, but you got all of heaven behind you. Fight, don't be quitting, don't quit so fast. Right? Our God's a restorer, he's a redeemer, he's a revivor, he's a multiplier. But when we choose to quit, come on, when we choose to quit, when we say, I don't have expect, I'm not expecting God to do what God said he'll do. Come on, that's when offense sets in. That's when unforgiveness sets in. That's when sickness and disease stays on your body. That's when hate and unforgiving, all these bad things come on because guess what? The devil says, Hey, there's a quitter over there. He's not expecting God to do what God says he'll do. Let me put all this extra stuff on him so I can break them. Right? The same thing he did to Judas, he wants to do to every one of us. Completely took all of Judas' expectations, all of Judas had of Jesus left in him, completely caught him to be so alive, living a life without expectancy. He said, Man, this life ain't worth living.
unknownCome on. Come on.
SPEAKER_00Come on. And that's not winning. That's not winning. As believers, we're called to win in every area of our life, every day of our life for the rest of our life. Come on, expecting God to be God and having what His Word says you can have. Come on, let today, if you grab one thing tonight, let it be that I'm gonna leave here expecting God to be God. I'm expecting God to do God things in my life. I'm not gonna be moved by what I see, what I feel, and what I hear. I want God to be God in my life, and I'm gonna wake up expecting him to move in my life because it's not real Bible faith if you're not having expectancy. It's not a game of darts, it's knowing God will do what God said he would do. That's what you can hang your hat on, that's what you can move forward with, and that's what you can allow you to be your strength. You short money, no, I've never short anything. My God's gonna meet all my needs, my God's nature is abundant, so therefore I'm not gonna lose my expectation. My expectation is in him. Say hallelujah to that. Come on, somebody, get let's it's time for the believers. Come on, for us to believe, we're gonna expect God, we can have what God says we can have. Why is that? Because it's vital for your success and your victory. It's vital, right? And let me give you some good news. Don't listen to those. What what uh those help me, Lord, be nice, be nice. Be nice, don't listen to what those liberal God hating, devil worshiping. Look, it matters if you win or you lose. It matters. Winning is God, losing is what the devil wants in abundance in your life. So after tonight, don't let those words come out of your mouth. Say it doesn't matter if you win or lose. Baloney, it matters in your life because winning is what we're called to be and called to do. Winning is what we should expect, our defeat and victory over every lie, every trick, and every bait of the enemy. Because why? Defeat is not scriptural. Come on, in this world, it does matter if you win and lose. Listen to me, you will win every time. Say every time if you live this life of faith and expectancy, you will win every time. Again, there's gonna be troubles, there's gonna be heartache, there's gonna be setback, there's gonna be pains. Come on, but a word says you will win every time if you can live this life of expectancy, saying, Man, this is a momentary setback. Come on, some God, you're with me and you're for me. Devil, hey, it's okay. I see you, but do you see me? Right? The person you used to see is not the person you're looking at today. This person is in full of expectancy that my God will do what my God says he would do. Come on, this pain in my body, come on, you better start recognizing this is a new person in my life. I'm expecting that today's the day I'm gonna be healed from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. Well, why is that? Because he healed me 2,000 years ago. And he says that I have victory in every area of my life, so I don't have to settle with losing or settling. No, my life is called to live life to the fullest till it overflows. That includes what health and wellness from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. Come on, somebody, get us. Let's let's let's today be the day we realize that it matters if we win or lose in this world. We want to win all the time, not some of the time, not part of the time. We are supposed to win all the time. Come on, I am a winner. Let me show you in the word, Romans 8 37 amplified. What does it say? It says, Yeah, in all things, what is all things? In everything in your life, physically, spiritually, mentally, and financially, your soul, your mind, your will, and your emotion. It says, in all these things, you're more than a conqueror. You ain't no whimp, you ain't no punk, you ain't no pushover. It says, You're more than a conqueror and gain what overwhelming victory. That means you overwhelming to me means it's like it's like the Longhorns playing uh Texas Tech. And beating them 70 to 7. I think that was the score the last time we played those jokers. Right? That's overwhelming. That means that means your yawning comes a fourth quarter thinking, man, if I wasn't a fan, I wouldn't be watching this. That's the kind of victory in every area of your life we have over the enemy. He's not supposed to be in your rear view, your front view, your side view. He's so far behind you and underneath you, you shouldn't have evidence of him in your life. And if he does come as quick, say as quick he needs to leave. Church, we're not called to get by by the skin of our teeth, we're called to have overwhelming victory in every area of our life. Come on, let me ask you this what are you expecting when unforeseen circumstances arise? What is your expectation? Remember, a life of faith. True life is living, you're expecting God will do what God can do. Let me give you a perfect example. Night before last, I was playing on the couch. I got this new cool game on my phone. I was just lost in it. I couldn't feel what was going on around me. And uh Pastor Crystals is the best. Say, Is it hot near to you? And I said, Now that you mentioned it's kinda hot. So we looked at the thermostat and said 76, and it was still blowing. Oh Johnny would have been like, oh, great, it's gonna cost me $5,000. Sound like, man, this piece of jumps at it again. If I'd have said that, what was my expectancy?
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_00But instead, I said, I looked at it, and she kind of got upset me because I didn't drop my phone right away. I was like, well, it's gonna be something simple. I said, let me call my father a law. Yeah. She's about to call my father in law for everything. Right? But but to me, it was like, I'm not gonna sweat it.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00So let me go check something first. Lord, give me good thoughts. Give me the mind of Christ. Don't let that be disturbed or fogged over by bad attitude, not having expectancy. So let's just go check the filter. That's probably what it is. It wasn't going outside and oh, it doesn't sound right. It wasn't checking the breakers, it wasn't, oh, oh, oh, all these sounds went off. It wasn't none of that. She said, let's go check the filter. Right? The thing that bugged me the worst was having to move both cars out of the way, right? I wasn't focused on what if the AC was broke. I said, let's just go check the filter. Right? I got the broom first of all, cleaned the vents inside, right? And then I went and moved the car and straight up, it was just a dirty filter. So I went to the store, right? Let me tell you, the only thing it cost me was $10.98. It didn't cost me my joy, it didn't cost me my peace. It didn't cause me to say, oh, it's hot. My expectancy was that man, I've got the favor of God on my life. It cost me a five-minute ride. Well, it didn't cost me anything because my wife was with me. We had a good time, right? And we came back and fixed it, and 30 minutes later it was back down to 72, and we slept okay. See, church, let me close tonight with this. This is important. And if you're listening online, listen to this. Faith is not just believing God, it's expecting God. Faith is not just believing God, it's expecting God too. To what? To do what the word says he will do. See, that's what faith is. Not just believing God, it's expecting God. Faith and expectancy are like twins. They're like Sally and Miguel, two peas in a pie. Like you never see Sally without Miguel or Miguel without Sally. And there's nothing wrong with that. But I say that because you should never have faith without expectancy, and your expectancy should be powered by your faith. Let me share with you my uh my my little bit of my childhood. There's a cartoon called The Wonder Twins. There'll be a picture, there'll be a picture of the Wonder Twins on there, right? And it was a brother and sister, and they didn't get their power till they touched knuckles. Right? Same thing with faith and expectancies. Okay, it's coming. Maybe tomorrow. Hey, but listen. Right? Their power, they didn't come together until they hit knuckles, and when they got knuckles, they were more powerful than ever. Look, you turn right, you can see them. Right? The wonder twins couldn't activate their power until they connected. Listen to this. In the same way, faith becomes more powerful when what you believe connects with what you expect. I'll say that again. In the same way, faith becomes more powerful when what you believe connects with what you expect. I want to give you a perfect example to close tonight with. Go to Mark chapter 5, verse 27 and 28. Give me five more minutes and we'll be done. In the same way, faith becomes more powerful when what you believe connects with what you expect. So, what you again, that's why expectancy is the attitude of faith. And here's a great example, Mark 5, 27. When she heard about Jesus' healing power, now listen, what did this woman put her faith in? Jesus' healing power. She was a little bit different than Philip and Andrew. She said, I've heard this guy heals. I know my I know he'll heal me. That was her faith. She said, Man, I'm putting all my faith in God's healing power. She pushed through the crowd and came up behind and touched his prayer shawl. For she kept saying to herself, Well, what it was her faith and expecting her that kept her believing, throwing danger aside. Well, what was dangerous about it? She was sick. Back in those days, she could have been stoned. But what? Her expectancy was her attitude of faith. She didn't care who was watching, who was there, who had something to say. She was going to push through the crowd to get to Jesus. Why? Because she knew if she could just touch his shawl, she would be healed. Let me ask you this. What are you expecting in your life right now? And are you pushing through the crowd? Are you saying I don't care what anybody says or does, I don't care how long I've been doing this, I know in my God's healing power, and I put my expectations expectations on that, and I'm gonna fight and do whatever I gotta do because I'm gonna get a backbone. I'm not gonna quit because I know what my God says, and if my God says it, then that settles it. Expectations is your attitude, expectancy is your attitude of faith. Why did she push to the crowd? Why did she risk her life? Because she was expected to get healed. But too many times, when I'm just talking about healing, too many times we'll get up, we'll feel that same pain. We're like, Well, I'm gonna let it rob my joy. Come on, and I'll start expecting when Pastor Johnny preaches on it again. No, come on, you're gonna miss the bus. You're gonna miss the bus, Gus. I don't know why that song came up. Grateful Dead song. I don't know where that came from. That's my old days. It was her faith and expectancy that kept her believing and throwing danger aside. Her faith kept her believing. Well, how do we know that? Because again, you read it, it says she pushed aside. She didn't care who was there, how big the rocks were, who was saying what. She had an ex her expect her expectancy. Her expectancy was her attitude of faith. Come on. I'm gonna say this again because I want this to drive home with you. Listen to this again, right? Faith becomes powerful when what you believe connects with what you expect. And what does she keep saying? Listen to this, you people who like to quit. What does she keep saying over and over? Not what you were, not what the world labels you, not what you think you are, not what you were diagnosed with. She could have kept saying, Well, I'm a woman with issue of blood, I'm a woman with issue of blood, I'm a woman with this shoe of blood to whoever who will listen to her. Before you know it, she identifies with that before she identified with the child of God. But because she had an attitude of expectancy and I was fueling her faith, what did she say? If I could just touch his clothes, I know. Listen to what she says. I know I will be healed. Church, expectation comes with faith. Expectation that comes with faith gets an assignment. You send your faith on assignment. Why? Because you're expecting God will be God. And you can send your faith on excitement, saying, Faith, I'm gonna I'm gonna do what I gotta do because I know my God will heal me. I know that if I could just touch his garment, I will be healed. And listen, if the word says it, then that settles it. Go to verse 29, Mark 5, 29. Listen, this is the word. This is this is you putting expectancy on things God can do and not what man can do. How do we know this? Because if you go read the word earlier, it says she spent all her money on doctors after doctor after doctor, and she wasn't healed. Some of you here today need to hear this because you're putting more faith in what man can say than what God can do. Listen, she said, I went to all these doctors in all these years and I'm still sick. Listen what God can do when He shows up on this scene. It says, As soon as her hand touched her, her bleeding immediately stopped. For she knew it, for she felt her body instantly being healed of her disease. Church, your attitude of expectancy is the attitude of faith we're supposed to be walking around with. Not some of the time, not part of the time, but all the time. Because we're expecting God to do God kind of things. Our expectancy is never in man. Man wants to tell you that you're sick and you're gonna die at this age. Man's gonna tell you you've got this on you. Man's gonna say you're suffering from this. God is saying, no, just trust and believe in me. Have the attitude of expectancy cut to your faith. And all you gotta do is believe that I will do what I said I'll do. And if you're looking for healing, you will be healed. If you're looking for prosperity, you will prosper. You're looking for finances, God will bless you. Come on, hallelujah. She was instantly healed of her disease. Write this down. Faith says God can and will. It might be on your notes already. Faith says God can and will. Expectation says I'm getting ready for God to do. Faith says God can and will. Expectation says I'm getting ready for my God to do. Say amen to that. Let me ask you this as I leave you tonight. What assignment have you given your faith? What assignment have you given your faith? Stop settling and letting your faith be determined what man says. Let expectancy be your attitude of faith that if my God says it, then that settles it.
